This beautiful and spacious Art Gallery adjacent to Chagford Post Office, is the home to "Devons Nature In Art", which is a unique collection of artwork portraying the wildlife, flowers, birds, insects, views, and nature of Devon.

Places of interest


In and around Chagford there are also lots of things
to see and do. Chagford's Church of St. Michael was dedicated to the Archangel on the 30th of July 1261. Its earliest part is 13th century, and later parts added in the 15th century. Opposite the Church are the small lanes.

Otter Sanctuary and
Butterfly Farm


The Butterfly Farm and Otter Sanctuary is situated
just outside the southern border of
Dartmoor National Park between Exeter and
Plymouth and is easily reached just off the
A38 Devon Expressway at the Dart Bridge junction.
There are large brown tourist signs guiding
visitors from the junction to the Butterfly Farm
and Otter Sanctuary.

  • February & March Otters only 11am-3pm daily
  • April-end October Otters & Butterflies 10am-5.30pm (or dusk if earlier)
  • November Otters only 11am-3pm
